About our Haverfordwest guide
We want to make it easier to discover and support the businesses in our county town. This is an independent guide from Select Pembs, built a street at a time.
Back to the town guide ↗A researched take, with the sources to hand
Descriptions use linked business information. “Why it caught our eye” is our editorial opinion, not a customer rating, personal visit or claim that the business is a client. Inclusion does not imply an endorsement by the business.
Images are labelled website previews. We do not present illustrations or website screenshots as photographs of a shop. If a business has no verified image, we let its description do the talking.
Keeping the details useful
Original sources were checked on 27 October 2026. Address and shopfront follow-up was carried out on 28 October 2026. Each listing includes its own checked date and source links. These dates record research, rather than a guarantee that premises are trading today. Please confirm hours, location and availability directly.
We cross-check business-owned pages, current reporting and official premises information. A registered office alone is not enough to establish a shop. Market producers are shown separately because they do not have permanent premises on the square.
A guide that is still growing
Our current focus is Quay Street, High Street, Castle Square and Bridge Street. Some addresses and replacement occupants still need confirmation. We would rather leave a gap than send you to the wrong place.
Quay Street: details we are checking
Key Tutoring’s own contact page confirms Nos.15–17. Simpson’s own page has activity dated 23 October and an exterior photograph posted 3 May 2026, but no building number is stated or legible. A council application describes a delicatessen at Nos.15–17 without naming the shop; that is a lead, not sufficient proof to assign Simpson’s a number. Wild West’s exact unit also remains unconfirmed. Little Loves stays at No.8 using Bramley’s stockist list. Metime remains outside the main list because current trading at No.3 could not be established.
High Street: details we are checking
Coffee Cave’s No.24 profile is marked permanently closed; the conversion proposals do not establish a replacement café. No.42 has planning and letting records but no confirmed new clinic operator. The available street panorama showing the former photography frontage is dated October 2024, before the later proposal, so it cannot establish current occupancy. Registered-office-only companies are not counted as separate shops.
Castle Square: details we are checking
Imperial Desserts & Candy’s exact No.3 profile is marked permanently closed; a replacement operator has not been established. The available panorama at this corner is dated June 2017 and is not current occupancy evidence. The 14 market producers remain labelled visiting traders, without permanent unit numbers or guaranteed weekly attendance.
Bridge Street: details we are checking
The former Edinburgh Woollen Mill profile at Nos.15–17 remains marked permanently closed; no replacement operator’s own page has been identified. Older shopfront images and directory records are not used to assert a new tenant. SET Office Supplies remains grouped with In2Craft at No.38, and Phone Rescue/Fone Bits remains one No.18 entry.
Map and information credits
Our street map uses OpenStreetMap contributors’ data, under the Open Database Licence. It shows street locations, not precise entrances or a recommended walking route. Food-premises sources include the Food Standards Agency; a record does not establish that premises are open today.
