Castle Square, Haverfordwest.

The changing selection is the reason to browse rather than arrive with a fixed expectation. We would ask what is in season and build a meal around what is actually on the stall.

The seasonal offer is part of the appeal. We would check the day’s flowers or discuss an order in advance rather than expect a fixed year-round bouquet selection.

A direct producer conversation can help with portion sizes and particular cuts. We would check what can be ordered ahead and confirm the market collection arrangements.

The mix can make this a useful stop for both everyday produce and a small gift. We would discuss any commissioned cake directly, including ingredients, lead time and collection.

A direct conversation can help when planning a poultry order. We would ask what is available now, what needs reserving and when collection can be arranged.

Worth including on a market food-shopping route for a different choice of cheese. We would ask about the available varieties and how best to store them at home.

The smaller pieces offer an introduction to a furniture maker’s work. We would ask about timber, care and dimensions; a bespoke table enquiry needs a separate discussion of specifications and lead time.

An opportunity to ask what has been baked for the day and what can be ordered ahead. We would confirm ingredients and allergens with the baker when choosing for a particular dietary need.

Useful for someone comparing locally produced charcuterie. We would ask about ingredients, storage and the available cuts; the market profile’s contact links appear mismatched, so use the market organiser to confirm attendance.

A chance to ask the producer about the honey available that week. We would check its origin and the current selection rather than assume every batch will be the same.

A way to compare preserves with their maker rather than choose from packaging alone. We would ask about flavour, ingredients and storage when putting together a food gift.

A useful everyday purchase to combine with the wider market. We would check the pack’s date and current availability, particularly before making a large order.

An option for a locally made gift that can also be chosen for everyday use. We would read the ingredient information and ask about fragrance when selecting for someone else.

A useful place to discuss beans for the equipment you use at home. We would explain the brewing method before choosing a grind and ask about the current roast selection.
